Three generations

A shoe store that stayed.

It opened the first of November, 1950. It has outlasted the catalogue, the mall and the algorithm by doing the one thing none of them can: putting a hand on your foot.

    Pic ’N’ Pay Shoes opens at 347 Main Street, Steinbach.

  • 1980s

    The Unger family buys the store. Fitting becomes the house rule.

  • 2008

    Randy and Shannon Unger purchase the business from Randy’s parents.

  • Today

    Seventy-five brands, an experienced floor, and customers on their third generation too.
